Carla Kirk-Cohen is a software engineer at Chaincode Labs where she works on the Lightning Network protocol and its implementation. She previously contributed to the LND implementation at Lightning labs.She also lead lightning lab submarine swap team. Carla Kirk-Cohen is from South Africa, she was onboarded to Bitcoin Open Source development at the 2019 Chaincode Residency and has been dedicated to paying it forward ever since.She is a board member at Btrust and co-founded Qala, a developer training program that connects African talent with global opportunity.
