About me
Freddie worked at Freshfields in London as a lawyer before the global financial crisis and acted for banks and financial institutions throughout. He now focuses on advising start-up companies, in engineering, fintech and Bitcoin. In 2023, he co-founded Bitcoin Policy UK, where as Head of Policy he has provided paytech and Bitcoin industry expertise in submissions to HM Treasury, the FCA, HMRC and to Parliamentary committees. He’s spoken in several countries on the dangers of CBDCs and what can be done to oppose them. He lived in Syria as a child, and grew up in Zimbabwe before returning to the UK in the late ‘90s. He has been studying Bitcoin since 2013 and began learning how to use the protocol in 2015.
