About me
Nemo is a researcher, engineer and entrepreneur. He is the co-founder and CEO of QRB Labs, the first Bitcoin company in Ethiopia, which provides data center hosting and colocation service for Bitcoin mining. Its mission is to accelerate the electrification of Africa by monetizing stranded energy, helping finance the development of the grid, while increasing the geographic distribution and facilitating transition to renewable energy of Bitcoin. Nemo has a PhD in Electrical Engineering, specializing in applications of game theory to network protocol design, and Masters degree in control system theory for robotics. Nemo is inventor on 9 US patents, and has authored dozens of articles, and research publications, including the widely cited paper "The Dynamics of Bitcoin Mining" which pioneered a mathematical analysis framework for Bitcoin mining. Previously Nemo worked as a staff software engineer and tech lead at Google, adjunct professor of Electrical Engineering at Columbia University, and co-founder of Invisible Hand Networks and co-founder of Gro Intelligence.
